I am passionate about creative storytelling in the digital realm and connecting people through sport. While great stories come from game time performances, truly inspirational stories are told off the ice. Storytelling is what makes us human and how we can come to understand new perspectives. Through my jobs over the years I have had the honour of working with a number of great organizations. With my experience in both the public and private sector, I have learned the importance of teamwork, creativity, storytelling, and design.

Most recently, I worked with with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment as a Freelance Social Media Producer. I provided social media coverage for the Toronto Marlies during their games and community events. This included live-tweeting both home and away games to approximately 189k followers across four platforms.

Between January to April 2015, I was part of a team of students who developed a show called Nurses. For this project she was the VP of Marketing. The show is a half-hour sitcom about three nurses living and working together (think Workaholics and Broad City meets Scrubs). Nurses participated in the 23rd Annual Pitch Competition held by the RTA School of Media, and was chosen as the winner by a panel of Canadian media executives.

While studying at Ryerson, I held various marketing roles. For two years I was a member of CURTAS (Course Union of the RTA School of Media) as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. In this role I developed a branding guide to ensure brand consistency across all promotional materials. In 2014 I played a part in the 36th Annual TARA Awards as the Marketing Coordinator. Working with the marketing team, I ensured that all marketing items followed the theme of film noir. I have also worked with Season Four and Season Three of Amazing Race Canada, Season One of Spun Out, and etalk.

I have ambitions to work at an international level, becoming a respectable and distinguished producer of media. I hope to be as versatile as possible in the face of constant evolution of the industry. Connect with me here via the contact page, LinkedIn, or Twitter @wongagness
